A New Word for Careless People “COVIDIOT”

“COVIDIOT” is someone who ignores the warnings regarding public health or safety. Last week, 5 p.m. on 22nd March, a bunch of “COVIDIOTS” hit the streets to celebrate the “Taali Bajao & Thaali Bajao” as a public festival across the country, during the Janta Curfew called by PM Modi. Because of such COVIDIOTS, state govt had to implement the complete lockdown in states like Rajasthan and Punjab, as a sharp increase in the number of infections was observed on 23rd March.

This term is also being used for those who arrived from abroad and did not go through the quarantine. These are the worst kind of “COVIDIOTS”, who are responsible for the spread of COVID-19 Virus. Other likely COVIDIOTS include people who fall for unrealistic coronavirus remedies and some possibly dangerous myths flooding the social media.

Let’s be anything but not a “COVIDIOT”!
