Mallikarjuna is one of the few parliamentary pages in the political history of independent India to remain in the limelight . Born in 1942 July 21 in a family of laborers in Horapatti of Balki taluk of Bidar district in Karnataka, Kharge was a long-time political activist.
Consecutive 9 times to Karnataka Legislative Assembly and twice to Lok Sabha from Karnataka And once elected to the Rajya Sabha, Kharge is a politician with a special personality.
Joining the party in student life, influenced by Congress ideologies, he started social service and politics along with legal profession. Many social and political bold steps made Kharge a beautiful figure in every occasion.In 1948, during the attack his family was subjected to communal violence. Inevitably, his family left the village and moved to Kalaburgi. Survival in that incident is a history. Such social incidents and persecutions became the foundations for Mallikarjuna kharge to become mentally strong.
In 1972, Kharge got the chance to contest from Gulumittal Assembly Constituency in Gulumittal Assembly Constituency, which caught the eye of Devaraj Arasu who created a new political mantra on the basis of social justice in Karnataka.He entered the Assembly in the first attempt. He has entered the Karnataka Assembly 9 times as an undefeated leader.Kharge has successfully held various portfolios during the Congress governments in the state as the leader of the legislative party and also as the leader of the opposition.
Elected to the Lok Sabha in 2009 and 2014, he has experience as Union Labor Minister, Railway Minister and Social Welfare Minister.
He is credited with implementing Column 371 J in Hyderabad Karnataka through constitutional amendment as a Union Minister Establishment of Welfare Karnataka Development Board Special Grant Sanction Special Appointment Contributed by kharge.He has proved his commitment to the state by allowing railway projects to be approved for the establishment of ESI hospitals.He is one of the Ministers who has been selected from Karnataka as Ministers in the Union Government and given preference to the State in a few months. As the Labor Minister credited with bringing the National Health Insurance Scheme to organized and unorganized workers, modernizing hospitals across the country and starting super specialty hospitals under it.His contribution to the establishment of Central University, Kalburgi in 2009 was immense. As the Union Railway Minister, he gave permission for 73 new railway stations in Karnataka.
Kharge is a visionary mature leader who likes to respect democracy and the opinion of the people. Kharge does not agree with individualism.It is for this reason that in his long political life he has never fought a political conflict for power and with such personality he has emerged as a national leader.In 2014, Kharge was elected Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha for his seniority and For circumcision. South Indian political leaders have less opportunities in central politics Many doubted him as the Leader of the Opposition but in five years he emerged as an effective Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha. The manner in which he faced the BJP government at the center and Prime Minister Modi made everyone accept his leadership and once again demonstrated A good parliamentarian.
Kharge Through his work, he made a significant step from the position of Block Congress president to the position of National President.
It is a matter of happiness that the enlightened electorate of Karnataka has recently blessed the Congress and enabled the son of Bhumi Putra to celebrate his birthday this time with great satisfaction. .
