After strong signals from the global market, the Indian stock market once again opened at a record high on Monday. Sensex crossed the level of 65 thousand for the first time. Nifty has also crossed 19300 for the first time. Metal and banking stocks contributed the most to the all-round rally in the market.
At present, the Sensex is trading at a level of 65,142.76 points with a gain of 424.20 (0.66%) points, while the Nifty is trading at a level of 19,305.60 points with a gain of 116.55 (0.61%). Earlier, on the last trading day i.e. July 30, the Sensex and Nifty had closed at a record high. On Friday, the BSE Sensex climbed 803 points to close at 64,718, while the NSE Nifty jumped 217 points to reach the level of 19,189.
