Rajnath Singh Cancels His Ladakh Visit

Date:

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has postponed his Ladakh visit. He was to go to Ladakh on Friday along with Army Chief General MM Narwane. In Ladakh, the Defense Minister had to take stock of India’s military preparedness in view of the deadlock at the border with the Chinese Army. Now the program is being redesigned.

This was supposed to be first visit of the defence minister after the China faceoff. Narwane has returned from visiting Ladakh a few days ago. It was believed that the purpose of Rajnath Singh’s visit was to increase the morale of the soldiers.

Earlier, the army chief visited Ladakh on 23 and 24 June. General Narwane encouraged the soldiers and encouraged them. After this, he came to Delhi and informed the Defense Minister about the situation. Explain that to end the deadlock on the Line of Actual Control (LAC), the two countries held a core commander level talks in Chushul sector on Tuesday.

The third round of this meeting between the military officers lasted for 12 hours. Military sources said that due to China’s obstinate attitude, ending the deadlock on LAC has become a complicated process.

Top government sources said that the Chinese Army has deployed around two divisions (around 20,000) near the LAC in the eastern Ladakh sector. In addition, China has deployed another contingent (10,000 soldiers) in northern Xinjiang province, which is about 1,000 kilometers away and being flatland, it will take a maximum of 48 hours to reach out on any war front.
