Will BJP Govt Restore Status Quo – P. Chidambaram

Date:

Congress leader and former Union Minister P. Chidambaram has once raised the issue of LAC controversy. Chidambaram said that China has again asserted its claim on the Galvan Valley, will the NDA government again demand that the status quo be restored? Will the government succeed in restoring the status quo?

Former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram said on Thursday, “Foreign Ministry and PLA of China once again assert their claim to the entire Galwan Valley and demand that India should vacate the Valley. Extraordinary demand!”

Congress leader P. Chidambaram said, ‘Contrary to what Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, it is undisputed that the status quo was changed by Chinese troops in April-June 2020. People are watching whether the Modi government will be successful in restoring the status quo.

Earlier, P. Chidambaram while answering BJP President JP Nadda’s question said, “JP Nadda asked former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh to explain 600 Chinese incursions into India between 2010 and 2013.” Yes, there was infiltration, but China did not occupy any Indian territory and Indian soldiers were not killed in those violent clashes, contrary to what is happening today.

Asking the same question from BJP President JP Nadda, P. Chidambaram had said, “Will JP Nadda ask the current PM Narendra Modi to tell about 2264 Chinese intrusions since 2015? I am sure he will not dare to ask that question.
