Washington| American president Donald Trump has said that he has signed a very strong executive order in order to protect the monuments and statues of the country.
This has been done after the Black Lives Matter protestors across the country have vandalized statues of various leaders across the country including the statue of former president Andrew Jackson near the White House. However, there is no official announcement from the White House about the order, the US president took on twitter to inform about the order.
The order will reinforce existing laws. Already the Veterans’ Memorial Protection Law 2003 is in place, which empowers authorities to impose fine as well as imprisonment of 10 years for destroying public properties.
