Sonia Writes to PM for OBC Reservation in NEET

Congress President Sonia Gandhi has written a letter to PM Modi on denial of reservation for OBC candidates under All India Quota being filled through NEET, in State/UT Medical educational institutes.

She has written that the OBC quota is restricted only to central institutes, due to which OBC candidates have lost over 11,000 seats in All India Quota.

She has pointed out about 93rd Constitutional Amendment under which special provisions for the advancement of any socially and educationally backward class of citizens for educational institutes including private institutions.

She has urged the PM to extend reservation for OBC candidates in All India Quota of medical and dental seats even in State/UT Medical institutions.
