Rahul Gandhi Questions PM’s Silence on Chinese Intrusion

Rahul Gandhi Attacks PM Modi

Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi has been cornering the government over the issue of cross border infiltration over the India-China Line of Actual Control.

This time, with an increased intensity of attack, he has questioned over the silence of PM Narendra Modi over the silence of PM Narendra Modi over Chinese incursion.

The Congress leader, in his tweet has quoted a news report which mentions that  the Chinese side has been driving a hard bargain in the talks between the Indian Army and the People’s Liberation Army, Mr. Gandhi said, “The Chinese have walked in and taken our territory in Ladakh. Meanwhile, the PM is absolutely silent and has vanished from the scene”.

As per few international media reports, Chinese army has occupied around 60 km of Indian territory over which discussions are being going on between the two forces on multiple levels and the two sides are hopeful of finding a solution via talks.

Ravi Shankar Responds to Rahul Gandhi’s Tweet

The Minister of Law and Justice, Ravi Shankar Prasand replied to Rahul Gandhi saying that questions related to international border shall not be asked on social media platforms like twitter and Indian government is trying to resolve the issue peacefully.

Later in the night, Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari held a press conference via webcast where he called Mr. Prasad’s reaction as “ill-considered, intemperate and irresponsible”. He added, as a responsible Opposition, the Congress was obliged to ask the hard questions on behalf of the people of this country.
