Patanjali Yogpeeth has overturned its earlier claim to make Corona’s medicine. In response to the notice given by the state’s AYUSH department, Patanjali has said that it has never claimed to make corona medicines, but it has cured corona patients with the medicines that have been made. It is said that according to the purpose for which the license was issued by the department, immunity boosters, cough and fever medicines were made. Patanjali still maintains both the claim about medicine.
On June 23, Patanjali’s Divya Pharmacy in association with Nimes University of Rajasthan launched coronil and inhaler vati and claimed to cure corona patients. It was also said at the press conference that the patients have been undergoing clinical tests, but the claim was denied by the AYUSH department of the Ministry of Health shortly after.
He said that no permission or license has been obtained from Patanjali Yogpeeth to manufacture corona medicines. At the same time, the state AYUSH department also said that Patanjali was given a license to make immunity boosters, not medicines. Also, a show cause notice was issued to Patanjali seeking a reply in a week. On Monday, Patanjali sent a reply to the department.
