Now Lebanon has joined the fight against Israel as four rockets were reportedly fired towards northern Israel today. One of the rockets was intercepted by the Iron Dome while others hit unknown targets in Israel.
Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have launched a counter-attack. IDF Artillery Forces are striking a number of targets in Lebanon. Some settlers in Lebanon documented the launching of the rockets which were apparently fired from the Lebanese city of Galilee and Haifa.
Till now the conflict was limited between Hamas and IDF with Gaza being the epicenter of the battle. But with the entry of Lebanon into this conflict, things are expected to escalate soon as more Arab nations join the fight against Israel.
Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has urged ‘significant de-escalation’ from his Israeli counterpart. To date, 213 people including 60 children have been killed on the Palestinian side, while 12 Israelis have lost their lives. The latest conflict started in the holy month of Ramadan. The eviction of six Palestinian families from their homes by IDF was the latest trigger of this deadly conflict which is now escalating into a full-fledged war.
