Maharashtra: 790 New Cases, 36 Deaths in Last 24 Hours

There have been 790 new cases of coronavirus in Maharashtra in the last 24 hours in Maharashtra, out of which 547 are from Mumbai alone. The Health Department said that 12,296 people have been confirmed to be infected with the Corona virus so far in the state. At the same time the death toll in the state has reached 521.

In the last 24 hours in Maharashtra, 36 more people have died due to virus infection, out of which 27 people have died in Mumbai. 121 people, who were free of Corona virus infection after treatment, were discharged from the hospital on Saturday. So far, 2 thousand people have become infection free in the state. Samples of 1,61,092 people have been tested so far in the state.

27 out of 36 deaths in Mumbai
According to the Health Department, a total of 36 deaths occurred in the state including Mumbai on Saturday. These include 27 deaths in Mumbai, 3 deaths in Pune and 2 in Amravati city. 1-1 patients died in Vasai-Virar, Amravati district, Aurangabad. According to the Department of Health, there are 28 men and 8 women among the patients who died. Of these, 19 patients were over 60 years of age. 16 patients were between 40 and 59 years old and 1 patient was below 40 years of age. 23 out of 36 patients were already suffering from diabetes, asthma, heart and other diseases.

527 cases only from Mumbai
The total number of cases in Mumbai has gone up to 8172 with 527 new cases. The problem of BMC has increased with the arrival of 127 new patients in Dharavi in ​​two days. The total number of victims in Asia’s largest colony has now risen to 496. Of the 496 patients, 18 have died. In Mahim, 17 new cases have been registered in two days and 13 in Dadar. The number of patients has increased to 52 in Mahim and 46 in Dadar.
