Ahmedabad| The chief organiser of Congress Sevadal, Lalji Desai has attacked the BJP government of the state for carrying out a raid in his farm house last night. According to the sources, he was staying with his family in his farm house in the outskirts of his city, where policemen have carried out a raid with an allegation that he has given refuge to few people belonging to the Muslim community.
Congress Sevadal is one of the frontal organisation of Indian National Congress, which carries out relief measures in the time of national calamities, besides its day to day affairs and is working agressively throughout the nation during Corona pandemic by supplying essential commodities to the needy in every corner of the country.
In reply to the attack, Lalji Desai has said that he has been staying here since the outbreak of the pandemic with his family members only and had been in touch with all the members of Congress Sevadal via video conferencing, who had been helping the respective administrations in carrying out relief work, without breaking any rules and guidelines setup by the respective central and the state governments. But, on the contrary, a police team has attacked his farm house. On further questioning the police for the reason, he was replied that it has been brought to the notice of the administration, that he has given patronage to few Muslims. Lalji Desai rebutted with the question and posted his message in the form of a video on his facebook page, that the state government is doing politics in the name of religion at this crucial time, when the state is surrounded by huge epidemic outbreak.
