China Blocks Access to Indian Media Websites

Date:

Days after India blocked 59 of the Chinese apps, China retaliated by blocking access to Indian media and newspaper websites. India has banned the apps including Tik-tok citing security constraints and alleging the apps to be stealing the data of Indian users.

While the Chinese websites and newspapers can still be accessed in India, the Indian websites and newspapers cannot be accessed in China without Virtual Private Network (VPN) server.

However, the Indian TV channels can still be accessed through IP TV as of now. As per the reports, ExpressVPN is not working in China both on desktops and iphones.

Reports say the Chinese step of banning Indian media websites came even before Indian government decided to ban 59 Chinese apps including TikTok.
