With 1.69 Lakh Cases, India Reaches First Place in Daily Corona Cases

Date:

The past week proved to be the most dangerous in case of corona infection spread in the country. Especially on Sunday, the number of new infected Corona infections in one day broke all the old records. According to the WorldoMeter, 1,69,899 new infections were detected in the country within a day, which is the highest number of infections in a single day since the epidemic. 904 more corona patients died during this period.

More than one lakh new cases of infection were reported daily in six days out of seven in the last week. The trend of infection shows that not only the cases of infection increased on a daily basis, but the concern of the country increased due to the decrease in the number of patients getting cured daily. The number of under-treated patients in the country has reached an all-time high. It is a matter of relief that corona examination and daily vaccinations increased which is very important to fight infection.

Last week in the country, an average of 1,24,476 new corona cases were reported every day, while during the first wave, a maximum of more than 97 thousand cases were reported within a day. Last Sunday, April 5, more than one lakh cases were registered in the country for the first time in 24 hours. After which 1.52 lakh new cases came in 24 hours till 8 am on Sunday, April 11.

The reduction in the recovery rate in the country during the last one week is worrisome, which has come down from 92.78 percent a week ago to 90.44 percent by Sunday morning. This means that the number of patients recovering from hospitals is decreasing daily, which will increase the burden of patients on hospitals.

India has now reached number one in the world in terms of new infections coming every day. At the same time, India is currently at the fourth position in the list of countries with active cases of corona and the highest number of deaths per day.
