WHO Raises Concern Over Corona Yet Again

Date:

With Corona numbers crossing 72 lakhs including 4.09 lakh deaths, WHO said that the situation is deteriorating globally. It is yet to reach its peak in many countries including Central America. The situation has become so grim that this year, the Ramon Magsaysay Award, also called the Nobel of Asia, has to be canceled.

WHO on Cases From South Asia and America

WHO chief Tedross Gabries has said that although the corona situation in Europe is improving, 75 percent of the world’s cases are coming from both South Asia and the Americas. He said that in the last ten days, more than one lakh cases have been recorded daily for nine days.

This epidemic is getting worse. The epidemic has passed for more than six months but no country has breathed a sigh of relief. He said, Brazil has become the hotspot of this epidemic after America.

Meanwhile, the Manila-based foundation, which has awarded the Magsaysay Award, said on Tuesday that the corona virus has brought the world to a standstill, leaving us with no choice. He said that this is the third time in the last 60 years that the decision has been taken to cancel the award ceremony.
