USA aids Pak by $8.4 Mn in Fight Against Corona

Islamabad| Pakistan gets an aid of $8.4 million from USA to fight against corona virus. The US Ambassador to Pak, Paul Jones announced it just a day before.

Jones said that the US government is working in collaboration with Pakistan to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in Pakistan. He further added that the contributions are identified as top priority needs by the Pakistani authorities.

While around 3 million USD will be used to setup three mobile labs in Pakistan’s COVID hotspots, so that testing and monitoring can be increased. Besides this, a part of the contribution will be used for the training of healthcare workers so that they can reach homes of the people and the burden on hospitals can be reduced.

Pakistan at present has reported 7476 COVID cases with 143 deaths so far.
