Lucknow| Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee has released UP Mitra Helpline number, a dedicated phone line for the migrants and needy who need support from the party for their basic needs.
The helpline number was released by UP Congress President Ajay Kumar Lallu. Any needy can contact on the helpline number – 7399901414, if he needs a help regarding return to his native place or any other requirement.
The PCC said that the helpline number will not only facilitate the migrant workers who are stuck in different parts of the country amid nationwide lockdown due to the novel corona virus, but will also help the needy people who are in the stae and are facing scarcity of ration and other materials.
UP Mahila Congress President Shahla Ahrahi was also present during the virtual press conference.
This helpline number has been released after Congress President Smt Sonia Gandhi has requested the respective PCCs to pay for the migrant workers of their state and make every effort so that the “nation builders” do not face any problem.
