Unable to Pay Debt, Farmer in Baghpat Commits Suicide

Troubled by debt, a farmer committed suicide in UP’s Baghpat district. The dead body of the farmer was found hanging from a tree in the field. The farmer has been told to have a loan of more than six lakhs. which he was unable to pay. Police has sent the body for postmortem. At the same time, Bharatiya Kisan Union has demanded financial assistance.

In Biharipur village of Baghpat district, where people were celebrating Dhanteras on Tuesday, there was chaos in a family. The body of farmer Anil of Biharipur village was found hanging from a guava tree in the field. Farmer Narendra, a resident of the village, has informed that the deceased farmer Anil had gone from his house on Monday, but did not return in the evening. He committed suicide on Tuesday morning.

It has been told that Anil had taken a loan of more than six lakhs from the bank. which he was unable to pay. In the meantime, he fixed the relationship of his daughter and wanted to marry her in February, but no arrangement could be made for the wedding expenses. The farmer went into depression and took the step of suicide. At the same time, Kotwali in-charge Ajay Kumar Sharma says that the body has been sent for postmortem. The investigation will be started as soon as the family members are informed.

The District Magistrate has ordered an inquiry into the farmer suicide case. District Magistrate Rajkamal Yadav says that investigation is being done. How much loan did the farmer have from which bank? Along with this information is being done about the reasons of suicide. The postmortem report has also been sought. The administration will provide all possible help to the farmer family.
