Trump Signs Executive Order Against TikTok

Date:

A week after US President Donald Trump threatened to ban TikTok in the Americas, an executive order has been issued against TikTok’s original company. It takes 45 days for this order to take effect and it bans any American company or person for transactions with China-based company ByteDance.

Trump has described Ticketock as a national threat and tensions between the Trump administration and the Chinese government continue to escalate. By order, “This data collection allows the Chinese Communist Party to access personal and proprietary information of Americans – potentially these Chinese apps to track the locations of federal employees and contractors, creating dossiers of personal information for blackmail and allows corporate espionage. “

On Monday, Trump said in the White House that if this American company is not sold, it will be banned in the US until September 15. He also said that if there is a sale, then American taxpayers should get part of it.
