In view of the frequent earthquake tremors in Delhi, the Delhi government has now started a campaign to help people avoid earthquakes. During this campaign, the residents of Delhi are being made aware about the rescue and precaution in the event of earthquake.

The Delhi government issued an advisory to all the people, asking them to check the strength of their home and working place. If necessary, consult a structural engineer and get the cracks and other flaws fixed. The Delhi government, in its consultation, said, “Check that all the furniture in your house or office is firmly attached to or tied to the ground, wall and ceiling.” Wheeled furniture and any storage equipment, etc. should be properly locked where they are placed on the ground. “
