Trump Loses Battle on Financial Records in Court

Date:

The US Supreme Court on Thursday gave a major blow to President Donald Trump, declaring all his tax and financial records as part of the criminal investigation. In a 7-2 decision by a division bench of Conservative Chief Justice John Robert, however, only the prosecution was allowed to examine these records. According to the order, the Democratic-led Congress will not be able to get the documents of Trump.

Prosecutors allege that Trump made several secret payments to hide his ties. The court’s decision is for documents related to those payments. The order said that the accounting firm LLP, which has been keeping track of Trump’s transactions for a long time, will have to place all his financial records before the Grand Jury for examination. The prosecution can view these documents.

The case will be heard in the lower court. In the second part of the judgment, the bench stayed the receipt of these documents by the three House Committees, giving some relief to Trump. In both decisions, there were four Liberals in favor of Robert and Trump with two Conservative judges Justices Brett Cavanow and Neil Gorsuch. After the verdict, Democrat District Attorney Cyrus Vance of Manhattan said, “It’s a big win.” It became clear today that there is no one above the law. Even if it is the president himself

Trump tweeted right after the verdict came, in the past the court saved the governments a lot, but not in my case. Now such decisions are being given. In all previous governments, the decision came in favor of the government in all cases of fraud. The previous governments spied my election campaign.
