Taliban co-founder Mullah Baradar to lead Afghanistan: Sources

Abdul Ghani Baradar, fondly known as Mullah Baradar is going to be the premier of Afghanistan, sources from the Islamist organization are telling. Mullah Baradar is currently heading the Taliban political office and will be joined by Mullah Mohammed Yakub, the son of late Taliban founder Mullah Omar, and Sher Mohammed Abbas Stanekzai, in senior positions in the government, sources added.

Mullah Baradar was captured in 2010 by security forces in Karachi, Pakistan and was released in 2018.
