Surbhi Chandna opens up on working in Sanjivani reboot and pairing up with Nakuul Mehta

After being appreciated as Anika in Ishqbaaaz, Surbhi Chandna is all set to wield the stethoscope for the sequel of 2000’s hit series, Sanjivani, in which she plays Dr Ishani. Talking about playing a doctor in the show that will hit the small screen soon, the actress reveals, “My mother always wanted me to become a doctor in real life.” Surbhi couldn’t fulfil this desire in real but is doing it in reel life. “I’m sure she will be super-proud to see me as one on an iconic show like Sanjivani!” she enthuses.

There was a strong buzz that in the serial, Surbhi would be paired opposite her Ishqbaaaz co-actor, Nakuul Mehta, in the medical drama. However, the makers went ahead with Namit Khanna, leaving fans of the former series upset.

“The audience has loved us in our previous show,” Surbhi says, “We will definitely get a chance to work once again in the future.”
