Shashi Tharoor Takes A Jibe Over PM’s Relief Package


Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address to the nation on Tuesday indicated lockdown 4.0. PM Modi said that before May 18, the information of the fourth phase of lockdown will be shared. With this, he said that this lockdown will be with a new look and feel. In his address, PM Modi also announced the economic package, which is of 20 lakh crore rupees.

Congress Leader Shashi Tharoor took a jibe over PM Modi and said, “The main difference is that I mean what I say and I do what I say I will do. The gap between the high Hindi & the low reality has been all too evident for the last six years.”

In a gesture, Congress leader Tharoor has taunted PM Modi’s words and actions. Earlier too, Tharoor had questioned Prime Minister’s appeal for lighting a lamp or candle in the balconies of the Indian houses. Taking a jibe at this, Tharoor tweeted, “The bell is done, the lamp is done, it is done.”

On the other hand, during the address of PM Modi, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi tweeted a video and said that today, mother India is crying. Rahul Gandhi demanded that PM Modi should make arrangements to bring lakhs of our laboring brothers and sisters safely to their homes while walking on the streets. Adding to this, he asked support for them in the time of this crisis, and to transfer at least 7500 rupees directly to the accounts of all of them.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Tuesday. During this, he announced a special economic package in front of the country. The Prime Minister also said that it is now necessary to make India self-reliant. He mentioned five pillars in his address, which will help in making the country self-sufficient.
