A recent interaction session which took place between Indian National Congress Spokesperson Shaktisinh Gohil and the University Students facing hardship during lockdown is a first-of-its-kind Initiative by any national leader.

Hundreds of college students stranded in different parts of India, waiting to return to their homes got a chance to put their problems in front of the former Gujarat minister, Shaktisinh Gohil, who looked equally worried about their concerns throughout the session & offered various suggestions to tackle this difficult situation.

As reported during session, number of students have also asked their universities for financial support during the COVID-19 lockdown amid warnings that more will face hardship as the crisis goes on & this was echoed by the Congress Incharge for Bihar & Delhi, Shaktisinh Gohil, stating that the university chancellor should set up rules for the education fee payment extension.

During the session, Bihar students pointed that proactive measures have been taken by many states having arranged return of students from the Rajasthan town & Bihar CM, Nitish Kumar yet to take a decision for the same. Answering this, Congress Bihar Incharge, Shaktisinh Gohil mentioned that “I appeal to Nitish Kumar to find out a way to bring back our students”.
