SC to Hear Petitions Regarding Jagannath Rath Yatra Tomorrow

The Supreme Court will tomorrow hear four petitions seeking amendment to its earlier order dated June 18 for organizing the Jagannath Rath Yatra. In view of the growing cases of Corona epidemic, the court had banned the Jagannath Rath Yatra in various areas of Odisha including Puri.

There was a lot of skepticism about the annual and famous Rath Yatra being held in Odisha for a long time, the temple committee had suggested that it be organized without devotees, but the court prohibited any event Was ruled. Now the Supreme Court will hear tomorrow on the four review petitions filed in this case.
