While Gujarat CM Rupani is busy promoting ‘breathing apparatus’ of a private firm of Rajkot as ventilators, the largest Covid-19 hospital in the state is seeking full fledged ventilators from Centre.
The craze of CM Rupani to promote his Rajkot Friend and industrialist has exposed how determined the CM is to promote a specific gang at the cost of the lives of people of the state.
The ‘breathing apparatus’ being setup by Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, which were inaugurated by Rupani on April 4 were not exactly ventilators. These were donated by Rupani’s friend to the government. This has brought an embarrassment for the Gujarat government which has fitted these machines at several government hospitals in the state.
These are the same machines, which Rupani has called as ‘path-breaking’ while inaugurating it on April 4.
The sorry state of Gujarat state and its failure to control the growing pandemic can be understood by the fact that a chief minister is passing off Ambu-bag as ventilators. It is not just criminal but reflects how everything ‘Gujarat Model’ is working under Vijay Rupani. It is being said that the Centre removed Ahmedabad Collector Vikrant Pandey withouth taking CMO into confidence and was shunted to a non-significant position in New Delhi. Adding to it, Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner Vijay Nehra, who was having Rajkot connection.
It is being said that among the bureaucrat circle that this incident of Chief Minister passing off his friend’s contraception as ventilator is being widely discussed and the party high command has been apprised of this blunder of CM.
