New Delhi | In the ongoing war of words between Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister of Law and Justice and Congress Leader Shashi Tharoor, Ravi Shankar Prasad has formally apologised for his remark made on the Congress leader holding him a murderer.In his letter he has accepted that the allegations made by him were factually incorrect.
He also accepted that such incidents do happen during public debate,and should not be taken seriously.
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor replied to the letter by praising the gesture of the cabinet minister to withdraw his statements. Shashi Tharoor has also written to his lawyers to withdraw the cases against Ravi Shankar Prasad.
Earlier in a debate, Prasad had called Tharoor an accused in a murder case while commenting on a religious issue. Later Shashi Tharoor has sent a legal notice to Ravi Shankar prasad regarding the statement, of defaming him on legal suite.
