Rajasthan Crisis : SC Refuses to Intervene between Speaker and HC

Supreme Court on Thursday while hearing the case of disqualification of 18 Rajasthan Congress MLAs including Sachin Pilot held that the Rajasthan High Court is free to pass an order on the MLAs and the deputy CM can pass an order on former Deputy Chief against the disqualification which was issued against them by the the state assembly speaker CP Joshi.

The bench consisting of Justice Arun Mishra Justice B R Gavai and Justice Krishna Murari refused to l intervene in the proceedings of Rajasthan High Court

The speaker had earlier sent notices to 18 MLAs including Pilot under the anti defection law who were not present after the Congress chief whip’s application for their disqualification.
