Railways will seek the help of medical and para-medical degree holders, who can work like normal officers and employees to prevent the corona virus. These officers and staff will help the health care physicians and paramedical staff.

At the order of the Railway Board, North Central Railway is preparing the list of medical and paramedical degree holders. These will be put in healthcare duties immediately, if needed. Railways are working extensively to prevent the outbreak of Corona virus. To prevent the epidemic, Railways is preparing to make passenger coaches of about 20 thousand trains across the country to be treated as Isolation Wards.

Chief Public Relations Officer of North Central Railway, Ajit Kumar Singh said that a large number of officers and employees holding medical degrees are employed in non-healthcare. Railway Health Department is preparing extensively to stop the spread of corona virus. The health department will need doctors and staff to deal with the epidemic. In such a situation, the cooperation of IRTS officers and employees will be taken.

Earlier, Northern Railway made a coach to be an Isolation Ward for testing in New Delhi. The medical team will examine the Isolation Ward in the coach. After getting the green signal from the medical team, all the zones of railway including North Central Railway will convert passenger coaches in their respective zones into Isolation Wards. The officers of the North Central Railway are waiting for the approval of the Isolation Ward made in the coach and the approval of the Board.
