Ex Congress president and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi has offered help to the tribal students of his constituency in terms of procuring all needed equipment’s to join online classes. It is estimated around 8785 students do not have access to the internet or educational TV channels and most of them are tribal students.
Mr Gandhi has written a letter to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan regarding this. He has pointed out the digital divide in society. “I request the Kerala Government to kindly extend necessary support to tribal students to access digital tools,” Rahul Gandhi wrote in his letter to CM.
In another letter to the Wayanad District Collector, He offered to help procure devices for students and requested district official to share the specific requirement with him.
