Rahul Gandhi Receives Words of Appreciation Worldwide

Soon after Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi’s press conference via video conferencing, which was held yesterday regarding the countrywide lockdown, the words of appreciation have started pouring in from all corners of the nation and the world as well.

While the political observers of the country have been claiming him to be a great observer and mature politician to showcase what is much needed today, unity to fight against the pandemic, and in his discussion he stressed on the same.

Shivsena’s mouthpiece Saamna, in an editorial writes about Rahul Gandhi as:

“There can be certain opinions about Rahul Gandhi. Well, there are opinions about PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah as well. Half of the BJP’s success is due to tarnishing the image of Rahul Gandhi. This continues even today.
But Gandhi has to be praised for the stand he has taken in the present crisis. He has created a model code of conduct on how an opposition party should behave when the country is faced with a crisis,” the Uddhav Thackeray-led party said.

Not only Rahul Gandhi is receiving words of appreciation from within the country, even renowned Economist of the world, Prof. Steve Hanke has appreciated the Congress leader.

He appreciated Rahul Gandhi’s approach towards corona virus pandemic. In his tweet he said that the Congress leader is correct and the lockdown is not effective in fighting the novel virus. Till the time a proper test and trace program takes place like in South Korea, they will keep playing catch up with corona virus.

In his reply, he focused more on testing and said that testing should be given the highest priority to fight against the novel virus.

In yesterday’s address to the media personnel, Rahul Gandhi called up for providing ration despite they are holding ration card or not. He also asked government to implement a minimum support amount to be transferred to the weakest section of the society who are struggling amid lockdown.

Earlier Rahul Gandhi has thanked the government for considering his advice on FDI and amending the FDI policy to check opportunistic takeovers of Indian firms. On April 12, Rahul Gandhi had tweeted: “The massive economic slowdown has weakened many Indian corporates making them attractive targets for takeovers. The government must not allow foreign interests to take control of any Indian corporate at this time of national crisis.”
