Oxford Leads the Race of Corona Vaccine : WHO

The number of people infected with the corona virus has exceeded one crore worldwide. Many countries of the world and many of their health and research institutes are also engaged in the search for corona vaccine to cure this dangerous epidemic.

Meanwhile, according to the World Health Organization, the vaccine that Oxford University is working on for treatment is at the forefront of the corona virus break. WHO Chief Scientist Soumya Swaminathan has said, “The stage he is on and the advanced he is, I think he is going ahead.”

Oxford and AstraZeneca Plc. The vaccine ChAdOx1 nCov-19 is in the final stages of a clinical trial. This is the first vaccine in the world to reach this stage. At the same time, Moderna Inc of America has started the second phase of trial of its vaccine mRNA-1273. Moderna Inc is also working at a rapid pace, but at the moment the global impact of AstraZeneca seems more likely.

To this, Swaminathan said, ‘We know that Moderna’s vaccine is also scheduled to reach a third phase clinical trial, probably in July, so they are not far behind, but AstraZeneca has a higher global scope.
