Mumbai| While the country has observed a complete lockdown on 22nd March after PM Narendra Modi’s address to the nation, as an advisory to fight against COVID-19 and the people came out in their balconies to clap, hit bells and utensils in order to show their gratitude towards the medical community of the nation, who have been serving the society in such a hard time, all day and night.
But, on the other hand, people did come out on the streets in huge number to rather celebrate it and gave a thumbs-down to social distancing, which is the need of the hour, and the only way to fight the pandemic, at present.
Things are not over here, worse is Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bacchan has moved a step ahead and tweeted about superstition, and how such sound of bells helps to fight COVID-19. All that he has tweeted, was nothing but a piece of superstition.
In his tweet, he has written: “5 pm ; 22nd Mar, ‘amavasya’, darkest day of month ;virus, bacteria evil force at max potential & power ! Clapping shankh vibrations reduce/ destroy virus potency Moon passing to new ‘nakshatra’ Revati. cumulative vibration betters blood circulation”

By no means, there is any such scientific study that proves that clapping hands, shankh sound can destroy the corona virus.
Also, the information contained in the tweet was wrong: Neither 22nd March was an Amavasya, nor the moon was crossing Revati Nakshatra.
Twitterati responded to this idiotic tweet in a huge number. Many users have mocked Sr. Bacchan and called him a student of WhatsApp University.
