Mandla District General Secretary Sonu Parochia (28 years) of the National Student Organization of India (NSUI) was shot dead here on Friday night. Parochia was returning home by bike after celebrating his cousin’s birthday party with two of his friends. The accused is said to be a resident of Jabalpur.
According to the police, on Friday-Saturday night, Sonu Parochia went to a dhaba near Maharajpur to attend his cousin’s birthday party. From there he was returning home on a bike with two of his friends. On the way, his bike was hit by a Bolero car. After this, the accused got down from the car and shot at Sonu’s chest and ran away. He was taken to Mandla District Hospital in critical condition. The doctors declared him dead.
