Not We vs You, But We vs Corona : Sonia Gandhi

Date:

Amid the worsening situation with Corona in the country, Congress President Sonia Gandhi has said that political party leaders need to come together to rise above their differences and fight against Corona as a nation. Sonia Gandhi said that the Modi government should understand that this fight is against Corona and not against Congress and other political parties.

In an interview to the Indian Express, Sonia Gandhi said that the Congress is always ready to support the government. In the situation with Corona, the failure of the system is completely visible. Sonia Gandhi said that I believe that while fighting Corona, it should not be ours and your fight. Rather we should have a fight against the virus.

We must fight this battle together and as a country. The Modi government should understand that this fight is not against the Congress and other political parties. Sonia Gandhi said that it is time for everyone to rise above political differences in this challenging time. Even before the disaster, the country has stood together. Being an opposition party, the Congress will constantly pressurize the government that there is no bigger task than saving lives at this time.

Sonia Gandhi said that in this difficult time, the government should give immediate attention to these things like availability of oxygen, ban on black marketing of drugs, bed arrangement, Korana investigation and financial help of the people affected by it. In the difficult times of Corona, there is a need to work out the war footing by counting the flaws and removing other compulsions.
