Nepal Puts Fence in No Man’s Land Near Bhikhanathori

Nepal has fenced No Man’s Land near the Bhikhanathori border in Indo-Nepal. Indian officials also swung into action at the news of the Nepalese fencing. Officials have sent reports of fencing to top officials. However, no such positioning has been done from Indian side. As per the reports, SSB personnel are keeping an eye on the situation by staying in alert mode on the border.

In the east direction from Bhikhnathori is the Ramnagar township of Nepal. The Nepalese had fenced No Man’s Land near the township. On the information, Narkatiaganj SDM Chandan Kumar Chauhan, Gunaha CO Rajeev Ranjan Srivastava, BDO Harimohan Kumar and SSB officials reached the border and reviewed the situation there. In the presence of Indian officials and SSB, land measurement was also done.

SDM Chandan Kumar Chauhan said that the measurement of the fencing was done 15 days ago as soon as the information about fencing was received. The Nepalis have fenced the Nine Mains Land there completely adjacent to the Indian Territory. He informed that a report related to this has been sent to the senior officials. Every action on border is being monitored. SSB personnel have been alerted. The SDM said that they reached Bhikhnathori with the authorities on Friday and came to know about the latest situation.
