LPG Price Increased by Rs. 50 Yet Again

Date:

Oil marketing companies have increased the LPG price again in the month of December today.

According to the Indian Oil Corporation, the price of non-subsidized LPG for December has increased to Rs 694 per cylinder (14.2 kg) in Delhi which was earlier Rs. 644, Rs 720.50 in Kolkata, Rs 694 in Mumbai and Rs 710 in Chennai.

This is fourth consecutive increase in the price since month of August-September and second in the month of December, also price of commercial cylinder (19 kg) is increased by Rs 35 from today.

Almost all the households in India have an LPG connection and it is mainly used for cooking purposes. An increase in LPG prices will affect the common man in general as they have to bear the brunt of the rising fuel prices in the current market scenario.

In September this year, the government had also eliminated the subsidy being provided on domestic cooking gas taking the name of corona pandemic. By this the government is planning to make Rs. 20,000 crore in FY21.
