Lockdown 2.0 May Be Announced Today

PM Narendra Modi is expected to announce the second phase of the nationwide lockdown on Monday to deal with Corona. Important announcements can also be made to revive the economy. In this, industries and road projects in corona-free districts can be relieved with conditions.

Many ministers have suggested to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) to partially start construction of industrial operations and road projects. However, they have to strictly follow the rules and guidelines of the Ministry of Health. In the first phase of lockdown, the country has succeeded in stopping the pace of infection.

However, the economy has been significantly affected. That is why the PMO sought suggestions from the ministers. The PM can include these suggestions in his announcement. In the second phase, some sectors including agro-industry will be exempted on the condition of following social distance. Industries will have to give a blueprint of their functioning in the new system.
