Srinagar| On Wednesday, security forces killed the commander of the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed in an encounter in Sopore area of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. police gave this information. A police officer said that a commander of Jaish-e-Mohammed was killed in an ongoing encounter at Sopore. The terrorist was identified as Sajjad Nawab Dar.
Officials said that further information of the campaign is being awaited. He said that after a tip-off about the presence of terrorists, a search operation was launched late Tuesday night in the Arampora area of Sopore in the northern district of Kashmir. He said that security forces have launched a search operation in the area and have laid a strict siege to prevent militants from fleeing.
