Indian Railway carries around 24 million passengers daily. A vast majority of the passengers travel in the general class & sleeper class. While the government is spending a lot to promote high-cost premium class trains like Vande Bharat Express but such frequent accidents of ordinary trains put a question mark on the investment the Union government is doing for the safety of general passengers.
