Bhopal| As the number of corona virus patients rises in Bhopal, capital of Madhya Pradesh, three government employees, including the head secretary of the health department, have been confirmed for Corona infection, on Saturday. Since then, there has been a stir in the administrative light of the state. Meanwhile, there are reports of many senior officers quarantining themselves.
As per the information given officially, Pallavi Jain Govil, Principal Secretary (IAS) of Health Department, Veena Sinha, Officer of Health Department, and Virendra Kumar Chaudhary, another employee, apart from Abdul Ghaffar, Potato Onion Trader (Karond Mandi) Nasim Ahmad have been tested positive.
So far, the number of corona infected people has increased to 17 in the capital Bhopal. Bhopal’s Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Sudhir Kumar Daheria said on Saturday that today reports of 34 samples have been received, of which 26 reports are negative. According to the report received, five were tested positive in the morning, while three others were found to be positive in the evening.
Earlier, another IAS of the state has been confirmed to be Corona positive. He is currently in the hospital undergoing treatment. The Health Department has claimed that his health is improving and he will be discharged from the hospital in a day or two. On the other hand, there is news that many senior officials of the state have quarantined themselves.
Pallavi Jain Govil continues work
Pallavi continued her work and reviewed the work of her department over phone and through video-conferencing. She also took part in the video-conferencing of the Chief Minister and issued bulletin for media.
She is working without taking care of her health. Her son who recently returned from the USA was quarantined for 14 days. The samples of her husband, principal secretary (finance) Manoj Govil were also sent for testing.
2nd team ready
After principal secretary (health) Pallavi Jain Govil and CEO of Ayushman J Vijay Kumar were tested Covid-19 positive, a second team of IAS officers was set up. The team will work on an ad-hoc basis.
