Fire Broke Out at Mumbai’s Crawford Market

Fire broke out at Mumbai’s iconic Crawford Market on Thursday. As per the reports Mumbai Fire Department has initiated efforts to douse the fire.

As per the reports by local sources, the initial call to the Mumbai Fire Department was made at 4:16 PM on Thursday. The level of fire is yet to be ascertained, however as per the latest inputs, four fire engines and four water tankers have been rushed to the spot.

No injuries have been reported yet.

History of Crawford Market

Crawford Market, later renamed as Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Market is situated to the north of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in south Mumbai, and is one of the busiest market of the market houses a wholesale fruit, vegetable and poultry in the commercial capital of the country.
