A multi-storey building on Kolkata’s Polak Street caught fire. The incident took place around 5.25 pm on Monday evening in this area located in the heart of the city. According to officials, at least 10 fire engines have been sent to the spot to douse the fire in several offices of G + 5 building housing.
A senior official said that the building has been evacuated. He said, ‘Our officials are working hard to extinguish the fire. We are trying our best to prevent the fire from spreading in the surrounding areas.
