Date:

Farmers are stuck in Delhi’s Burari DDA ground amid the bitter cold. The farmers say that they have come to demand their rights, not to beg. He said in one voice that the agricultural bill is anti-farmer. The farmers who provides food to the country has landed on the streets today to fight theirbattle in this cold. They said that they will not return untill the bill is withdrawn. As per them, with the introduction of this will, they will loose everything, from their home, children’s education and money saved for daughter’s marriage.

Farmers took out an anti-government march and raised slogans at the DDA ground in Burari around 12:30 pm on Sunday. Raising the slogan with the flag, the farmers roamed the premises and gathered at one place. Farmer Gurmeet Singh, who was part of the movement, says that we have come here, but many of our companions are on the Singhu border. We have also gathered to visit Jantar Mantar, but we are not being allowed to go to Jantar Mantar.

Gurmeet said that we are in a democratic country. Do we not even have the right to oppose the government? We were not taken to Jantar Mantar and brought to Burari Maidan. We are having a peaceful demonstration. Harjinder, who came here in the movement, said that we have brought ration, wood and other items together. We are not going to return from here without the withdrawal of the bill. A camp has been made here to stop us.

Farmers standing in Burari field have brought ration, fuel and essential goods for themselves. Also, the local people of Delhi are also bringing food and essential items for them. Manmeet Singh, who arrived with food, said that we are not from any political party, but we have come here for the farmers. The farmer feeds the country and is present here in the cold. So we have brought food for 600 people in our van. I have told the farmers that I would be happy if I could help them in any other way.
