Electric Charging Facility for Every 3 km in Delhi

In Delhi, soon you are going to have a charging station to charge the electric vehicle every 3 kilometers. Giving this information in a program, Transport Minister of Delhi Government Kailash Gehlot said that, to boost the mobility of electric vehicles in Delhi, the government is planning to set up charging stations every three kilometers in the next 5 years. He informed that, at present, 25 percent of the total registered vehicles in Delhi are electric vehicles.

The Delhi government introduced the Electric Vehicle Policy in August 2020 to promote electric vehicles. Under this policy, the government launched a total of 6 thousand electric vehicles on the road between August and December. Along with this, the Delhi government is also providing many facilities for purchasing electric vehicles.

Delhi government is giving exemption in road tax and registration to promote electric vehicle. With this, if you buy electric vehicle, then you also get subsidy from the government. In this regard, Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot of Delhi Government has also launched a website ev.delhi.gov.in
