Election Commission Officer Tests Corona Positive

Corona virus cases have crossed 2.5 lakh in the country. The virus has now reached the Election Commission office as well. According to sources, a senior EC Officer has been found corona positive. The employees coming in contact with them have been asked to be home-quarantined. The officer’s workplace is being sanitized.

On the other hand, the reports of 11 officers and employees of the Ministry of Labor and Employment, have come to be Corona positive. The ministry is being sanitized and the rest of the protocol is being followed.

On Sunday, the second consecutive day with around 10,000 cases have surfaced. In a single day, a record 9983 new patients have been found from Corona and 206 people have died. According to the latest information of the Health Ministry, so far 2 lakh 56 thousand 611 confirmed cases of corona have come in the country. Of these, 1 lakh 25 thousand 381 are active cases. So far 7135 people have lost their lives across the country from Corona.

Out of the total deaths across the country due to this virus, 93% have died alone in eight states namely; Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan. Maharashtra accounted for 43% of the total deaths due to infection in India. At the same time, share of Gujarat is 18% and Delhi is 11% in total deaths.
