The Enforcement Directorate (ED) probing the Narada Sting case has sent a notice to 11 accused leaders asking them to provide details of bank accounts and other assets. Agency officials said that Trinamool Congress leader and BJP leader Mukul Rai was also named among the accused.
The official said, the details of the assets and investment of the last seven years have been sought from the accused. It is noteworthy that in a sting operation released by Narada News just before the 2016 assembly elections, a dozen Trinamool Congress leaders, MPs and ministers were shown taking a hefty amount in return for working with private company officials.
Agency officials said they were asked to provide details before the lockdown began in March, but have not given information yet. We hope that the reminder sent now will send its reply soon. Meanwhile, most of the accused said they have not received ED’s notice.
