Dr in Kerala postpones her marriage in fight against corona

With the daily increase in the toll of the patients suffering from novel corona virus, the front line fighters, i.e. the doctors, the police,the administration are working hard to fight against the pandemic. For this, they are sacrificing everything, that comes in between their duty. In the meantime, a doctor in Kerala has postponed the marriage and launched a fight against Corona.

Dr. Shifa M. Mohammed is working at Pariyar Medical College, Kannur. Shifa is working in the Isolation Ward here in the first week of March. The number of COVID-19 patients is highest in the state.

Vaidya Shifa’s wedding was to be held on March 29 with a businessman in Dubai. All the preparation for the wedding was also done. But she called her husband and said that while the marriage may be postponed, the treatment cannot be postponed. The future husband had also agreed. 

“Many people like me are working on many programs, including engagement, marriage. I am one of them. I have done nothing in particular. I have done my duty.” said Dr. Shifa

At Pariyar Medical College, Kannur, 234 infected persons are in the isolation ward. The situation is getting worse in Kerala. Coronavirus cases are now being detected in most districts of Kerala.
