Delhi LG Withdraws 5 Day Institutional Quarantine Decision

Date:

Delhi LG Anil Baijal has withdrawn the five-day institutional quarantine decision at the DDMA meeting. The Lt. Governor has withdrawn his decision after protests by the government in the DDMA meeting again.

Delhi LG said in the DDMA meeting that institutional quarantine would be necessary only for those who would not need to be admitted to the hospital as per the doctor but did not have a system of isolation at home. Such people can spread the infection due to lack of space in the house, in such a situation, it is necessary to stay in institutional quarantine, the rest will be kept in the house if there is a patient with mild symptoms and may have quarantine in the house.

Yesterday, Delhi LG issued an order that even mild and non-symptomatic Covid patients in Delhi would have to stay in a quarantine center for five days instead of home. The patient will have to stay in the quarantine center as soon as the test report is positive.

After this, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Saturday that home isolation for Corona patients will now continue. LG’s apprehensions have been resolved at the SDMA meeting. We thank LG for this.
